Donny Enriquez is a CHOPPED finalist, host of “Die Trying” at Barstool Sports and published author of “Not Your Mothers Cookbook”.
About Donny
Donny has been working at Barstool Sports since 2018 where he hosts a cooking show via social media, as well as an extreme sports show called “Die Trying”. He is also a published author of his cookbook Not Your Mothers Cookbook, which has sold over 15,000 copies.
In 2020, Donny appeared on Food Network’s Show Chopped (season 44, episode 9) where he finished in second place. Most recently, Donny spent the summer of 2023 in the South of France, where he staged at the restaurant Simone.
Donny has been cooking for as long as he can remember. His passion began when he would visit his Uncle’s restaurant in NYC when he was a kid. He had short stints working as a dishwasher/cook during high school and college. While in college at the University of Wisconsin: Madison, he started his own catering company, The College Cook, where he brought home cooked meals back to busy college students. The business grew into catering larger parties where Donny would cook and serve up to 150 people all on his own.
His Junior year he partnered with a local bar on campus to open his own pop-up restaurant. The bar was normally closed on Sundays, however Donny took it over and opened a brunch restaurant that he ran with a team he hired called “The Cooks Club”.
